EICV7 - Main Indicators Report 2023/24

The EICV7 survey revealed that 27.4% of the population was living in poverty in 2023/24. Modelling shows that if the same methodology had been applied in 2016/17, the poverty rate at that time would have been 39.8%.

EICV7 - Poverty Profile Report 2023/24

The poverty rate in Rwanda (using the updated methodology) would have been 39.8% in 2017, and fell to 27.4% in 2024, representing a reduction of 12.4 percentage points over a period of 7 years.

Index of Industrial Production - February 2025

In February 2025, the industrial output (formal sector) increased by 7.1% compared to February 2024, against an increase of 9.4% on annual average basis.

GDP National Accounts (Fourth Quarter 2024)

In the fourth quarter of 2024, GDP grew by 8%, following the growth rate of 9.7% in the first quarter, 9.8% in the second quarter and 8.1% in the third quarter. This resulted to an overall growth of 9.8% for the year 2024.
