Mr Faustin NILINGIYIMANA
Mr NILINGIYIMANA Faustin is the Acting Director of the Demographic and Social Statistics unit at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), a role he assumed in July 2024.
He has over 10 years of experience in the field of statistics, particularly in demographic and social statistics, and he has held various positions at NISR since 2014, including Team leader for Vital Statistics and Cross-Cutting Social Statistics. Before joining NISR, he served as Site Administrator at Fair Construction Ltd.
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Statistics from the University of Rwanda. He also completed several professional trainings in demographic analysis and population projections (by the United States Census Bureau), gender statistics (by Statistics Sweden), gender data analysis and policy development, and civil registration-based vital statistics using the R programming language (by UNECA).
