Formal external trade in Goods report (August 2024)

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 494.45 million in August 2024, an increase of 4.61 percent compared to the previous month of July 2024. Year-to-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 48.06 percent on the deficit of August 2023.

In August 2024 domestic exports value decreased by 22.04 per cent compared to July 2024 and increased by 41.90 per cent compared to August 2023. 

In August 2024 imports value decreased by 3.56 per cent compared to July 2024 and increased by 41.52 per cent compared to August 2023.

In August 2024, re-export values have increased by 9.17 per cent compared to June 2024 and by 8.35 per cent compared to July 2023.
