Urban CPI increased by 20.8 percent on annual basis (February 2023 and February 2022) and increased by 1.8 percent on monthly basis (February 2023 to January 2023). The annual average inflation rate between February 2023 and February 2022 was 16.5 percent.
On annual basis, the local goods index increased by 21.9 percent, the imported goods index increased by 17.5 percent, the fresh products index increased by 48.7 percent, the energy index increased by 15.4 percent and the core index or the general index excluding fresh products and energy increased by 14.4 percent.
On monthly basis, the local goods index increased by 2.3 percent, the imported goods index increased by 0.4 percent, the fresh products index increased by 7.3 percent, the energy index increased by 1.2 percent and the core index increased by 0.3 percent.
