In October 2025, the formal sector industrial output increased by 5.3% compared to October 2024, while the annual average growth rate was 6.6%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying decreased by 13.3%.
- Manufacturing increased by 2.2%
- Electricity increased by 9.5%.
- Water & waste management increased by 3.0%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 2.2%. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 12.0 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, a 9.6% increase of manufacturing beverages & tobacco and a 5.6% increase of manufacturing of Chemicals, rubber and plastic products. However, manufacturing of furniture & other manufacturing decreased by 2.9%.
