In 2024Q4, earnings from travel services estimated at 126.1 million USD where the main purpose of travel is holiday accounting for 56.2 million USD. On the other hand, residents’ payments abroad on travel services estimated at 91.0 million USD in 2024Q4, primarily for business purposes (36.3 million USD).
Overall, in 2024, the total export revenues for travel services are estimated at 579.5 million USD while the travel import payments are estimated at 363.8 million USD. Consequently, Rwanda recorded a net surplus of 215.6 million USD from travel services.
