The Urban CPI increased by 4.9 percent on annual basis (July 2024 compared to July 2023) and it decreased by 0.1 percent on monthly basis (July 2024 to June 2024). The annual average inflation rate between July 2024 and July 2023 was 7.2 percent.
On annual basis, the local goods index increased by 3.9 percent, the imported goods index increased by 7.9 percent, the fresh products index increased by 2.8 percent, the energy index increased by 6.2 percent and the core index or the general index excluding fresh products and energy increased by 5.4 percent.
On monthly basis, the local goods index decreased by 0.3 percent, the imported goods index increased by 0.3 percent, the fresh products index decreased by 1.8 percent, the energy index was stable and the core index increased by 0.4 percent.
