In December 2025, the formal sector industrial output increased by 8.2% compared to December 2024, while the annual average growth rate was 6.5%.
Activities performed as follows:
• Mining and quarrying increased by 4.8%
• Manufacturing increased by 5.5%
• Electricity increased by 13.3%; and
• Water & waste management increased by 8.0%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 5.5%. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 9.7 % increase in manufacturing beverages & tobacco, and a 9.0% increase of Manufacturing of textiles, clothing & leather goods. However, Manufacturing of food processing decreased by 2.0%, and Manufacturing of metal products.
